Weener Plastics (WP) is proud to share the fourth edition of its Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility report. The annual publication features up-to-date insights regarding our goals, ambitions, initiatives, and achievements in the areas of Sustainability and CSR. In line with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the report details the progress, effectiveness, and results of our actions, and offers stakeholders a clear overview of continuous improvements.

"I'm delighted to report that we have continued to innovate and grow with customers and value chain partners, while also performing well on our ambitions and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) targets," states Lenny Ellenkamp - van Olst, Director Sustainability. "Our ongoing commitment to sustainability and CSR has resulted in EcoVadis Platinum certification, which places us in the top 1% of all rated companies worldwide. This is thanks to WP's collaborative efforts and our global commitment to responsible business!"

Our last plant successfully completed the ISO 14001 audit, leading to Group-wide full compliance with this environmental management industry standard. We continue to expand our supplier evaluation on ESG as part of our sustainable procurement program and achieved our goal of reducing our Lost Time Accident Frequency Rate by 50% one year ahead of time.

Sustainability and CSR topics received our continued attention. WP is fully conscious of the key role we play in this area, and we have anchored CSR and caring about sustainability into our everyday practices and core values. Ongoing programs target reductions in the use of natural resources, increased efficiency in our operations and supply chain, and enhanced circularity with smart new product designs and materials.
